Elizabeth Gooch started her career in industry, joining Forward Trust (a subsidiary of Midland Bank) and then Birmingham Midshires Building Society, before establishing eg solutions in 1988. Elizabeth pioneered the introduction of industrial production management methodologies into the service sector and invented the eg operational intelligence® software suite to embed these techniques into businesses. She developed a unique business model, delivering guaranteed cost benefits for her clients, receiving payment by results. eg pioneered the back-office workforce optimisation market; a new technology space now worth over $3bn, and eg’s software was recognised as a market leading technology in this space. eg was listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) and was acquired by a major US software company in 2017.

 

Elizabeth is an award-winning UK tech entrepreneur. She was named as one of The Telegraph’s ‘Most Disruptive Entrepreneurs’ and named West Midlands Woman of the Year for her ‘Outstanding Contribution to Technology’. She was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the Queen’s jubilee birthday honours in 2012, in recognition of her achievements in delivering significant benefits for clients with the products she designed. Following the acquisition of eg solutions plc, Elizabeth founded The Tech Growth Factory. Acting as Non-Executive Director, Investing Director, Coach or Mentor she now assists the founders of UK Tech StartUps and ScaleUps to achieve their growth potential.
